Manassas Grass 1 of 2
Last summer I stumbled by Manassas National Battlefield Park (http://www.nps.gov/mana/index.htm) on the anniversary of the first battle of the US Civil War.
This field was right next to the house which served as the field medical location.
It is hard to imagine the sadness, pain, and death that occur on these fields.
I posted an image from this same location back in the summer, if you are interested the link is here: http://auntyvonne.com/index.php?showimage=212
Nothing like those fences. Such a sobering scene. When I walk on any of the battle sites I always just try to feel the atmosphere. Wonderful image and so perfect in greyscale. sherri @ February 13, 2010
