A long time ago, just the other day a friend and I went out taking pictures. This was one of my favorites. The day was a great for photos and catching up. Going to do a bit of winter tree theme.

beautiful sunshine and long shadows. there is no mistaking this for a summer photo. i'm leaving my gloves on, and covering my ears, no matter how beautiful it looks.

ah, trees are best in the winter i think. especially when you get lighting like this on them. it brings out all the fun colors and textures of the bark and contrasts smartly with the colors and textures of the snow. awesome. i look forward to seeing more.

This tree has character. I like all trees but especially those who seemed to not followed the normal form. The background makes it pop as well. I'm still thinking on the title "Single Sister," care to give any more details on why you titled it this? :-)

@Earl I have another image, I will see if I can find it, which is 3 trees standing together. I call that one 3 sisters. It was taken the same day as this one so that day became the sister series.

Winter trees do have some character don't they, this one looks gnarly against the sky as if showing it's disapproval of winter. I loved your intro "just the other day.........."
